Loto-Québec has reported continued financial growth after three quarters of its 2025–2026 fiscal year, signalling strong momentum across its lottery, casino, and gaming operations.
For the period spanning April 1 to December 29, 2025, the corporation generated total revenues of $2.297 billion, marking an increase of $58.9 million (+2.6%) compared to the same period last year. Consolidated net income reached $1.139 billion, up $7.1 million (+0.6%), keeping the organisation firmly on track to meet its annual targets.
Strong Player Engagement and Lottery Wins
Player engagement remains high, with Loto-Québec creating 88 new millionaires since the start of the fiscal year. Total lottery payouts during the period exceeded $1.3 billion, reinforcing the continued popularity of its lottery products.
The corporation attributes this performance to ongoing improvements in its entertainment offering, combined with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency and responsible gaming practices.
Leadership Highlights Responsible Growth
President and CEO Jean-François Bergeron emphasised that the results reflect steady progress across all sectors.
According to Bergeron, the organisation’s growth is driven by “committed teams working to evolve our offering,” while maintaining alignment with responsible commercialisation principles. He also highlighted the expansion of initiatives under the Wise Play program, aimed at promoting low-risk gaming and reminding players of the role of chance.
Increased Traffic Across Casinos and Online Platforms
Loto-Québec reported rising attendance at its casinos and gaming halls, alongside increased activity on its online platform. Despite higher traffic, average spending per casino visit remains stable at around $100, indicating consistent player behaviour.
The holiday season proved particularly strong, with gaming venues experiencing vibrant activity. The corporation noted that its locations continue to be perceived as “attractive, safe and welcoming” social environments.
Revenue Breakdown by Sector
The company’s diversified portfolio continues to deliver balanced growth:
- Casinos and gaming halls: $976.6 million
- Lottery games: $721.0 million
- Gaming establishments: $616.4 million
Expansion and Strategic Developments
Among the quarter’s key developments, Loto-Québec announced the opening of a fourth gaming hall in Saguenay, to be located at the Delta Hotel and conference centre. The project has garnered strong support from local officials and regional stakeholders.
The corporation is also continuing its strategy to relocate video lottery terminals to higher-quality venues that encourage social interaction. This initiative has led to a 13% reduction in locations since 2023, aligning with its “fewer but better” approach.
Notable Wins and Community Impact
Two major Bad Beat jackpots were awarded during the period:
- $2.19 million at the Casino de Montréal (October)
- $1.43 million at the Casino du Lac-Leamy (November)
These shared jackpots enhanced the overall player experience, benefiting multiple winners across poker rooms.
Beyond gaming, Loto-Québec continues to strengthen its role in Québec’s cultural and social landscape. The organisation has risen to the top of the sponsors list for cultural events in the province, boosting its public visibility and community engagement.
Additionally, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu—a property associated with the corporation —earned MICHELIN Key recognition in 2025, highlighting excellence in hospitality and environmental contributions.
Commitment to Social Responsibility
Loto-Québec’s focus on corporate social responsibility remains a cornerstone of its strategy. The organisation recently received the Platinum Parity Certification at the Women in Governance gala, the highest level awarded for promoting gender equity in the workplace.
